Auli's ski season generally runs from December through March, with January and February offering the most reliable snow cover. December can have thinner snow early in the month, while March sees warmer days better suited to beginners still building confidence.
If you're chasing fresh powder and shorter lift queues, aim for a weekday in mid-January. Families often prefer February, when the slopes are groomed and temperatures are a touch milder.
Outside ski season, Auli is still worth visiting for the Gorson Bugyal meadow trek and the cable car ride, which runs through most of the year weather permitting.
